CURRO ACADEMY HOSTS A FUN WALK/ OPENING DAY FOR THE COMMUNITY OF SOSHANGUVE

The Curro Academy hosted a fun walk/opening day Soshanguve Block VV, on Saturday, 14 September 2024 from 09h00 to 12h00. This walk was hosted for the parents and children of Soshanguve to come sight-see the premises of Curro.

The opening day at Curro academy is hosted every four months in a year, it is divided into spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each season there is an opening day to entertain those learners who already attend curro and those who wish to but they come with parents.

The Curro academy accommodates learners from grade R to grade 12. It provides the excellent curro education to all the learners. The academy had a fun walk around the premises to show parents who want to place their children at Curro and for children to look around the premises.

After the fun walk, games were introduced to the parents and children starting with the color-run where they were chased around with color paint. The day as it went by children were taken to the swimming pool and jumping castles.

The participations in activities, such as chess, soccer, karate classes and music took place also, as the children were shown what to expect from the Curro academy if they decide to enroll there.

Dikeledi Khoza, a parent of a Curro academy learner, who also attended the event commented, “Today is a very interactive day, the children got to know each other, to be active in sports, and it was a very fun field day. This was an opportunity to interact with other parents and hear their view about the school”, she said.

The community of Block VV had a jolly-good-day as they praised the Curro academy as the best place to enroll their children on. Food stalls were made available for those who wanted food and refreshments, craft and toys were sold for everyone.

Dineo, the Curro academy marketer commented, “Our open days is not just only open days whereby you go to the classroom and see the teacher and then you meet a teacher, that is why we choose to twist and combine as themed open day. Since its spring, we decided to do a spring fun walk and add indigenous games, also welcoming spring into the season. Our aim is to gain new parents and for them to meet our teachers, let them explain our curriculum to them of what we offer here at Curro”, she said.

Fani sebolela who is the executive head of Curro academy commented,” The purpose of today’s event is for us to do two things that is a fun walk and the opening day where it accommodates the kids too,” he said.
