THANDI YOUNG STARS STILL REMAIN ON TOP

Thandi Young Stars and Young Spartans soccer match took a great turn in Soshanguve which took place at Block kk on Saturday on the 13th of May 2023 around 12h00 in the afternoon.

The game was divided into four slots, first slot was for under 11-years-old, second slot was for under 13-years, third slot was for under 15-years, and last one was for under 17-years.

The  under 11, the Thandi Young Stars won by 3-2. Second slot they both had a draw 3-3. The under 15, the Thandi Young Stars won 8-0. The last slot of under 17, the Young Spartans won 2-1.

Molegang who is the captain of the Thandi Young Stars commented that he is happy with how the boys played. “We were told at short notice that they want a match with us, I thought the boys would not be able to play the game, but they proved me wrong compared to the practice we had,” said the captain Molegang.

Siyabonga Masuku who is the coach of the Thandi Young Stars said that he is pleased with the way the game went and is looking forward to more soccer matches to come.



Boipelo Mhlabeng (13), a young player of Young Spartans highlighted that he is not pleased with the way his teammates were playing and hoped that his teammates were going to change soon and realize that they were losing.

Mofenyi Masola, coach of the Young Spartans said, “The game was tough, since 13h00 we were playing, and we lost the first game but managed to win the last one by 2-1.”

He added that he is happy with how the game ended and is looking forward to more games ahead of them as they will be back in two weeks to play with another team.



The Thandi Young Stars played well and were excited with how the game went. The players are looking forward to better games ahead of them as they were celebrating their moment of victory.
